About DesignersMusic
First, an introduction: This crazy project is the brainchild of Jonathan Longnecker and Nate Croft, aka FortySeven Media We're two guys who started designing because we wanted to be rockstars. The band needed a website, posters and CD covers, right? Sure we can do that! Well it stuck. And while we still love making and producing music, we've gone on to make design our living. Alright, onto the explanation:
Designers listen to awesome music. Think about it. Almost every designer or visual artist you know listens to great music. Maybe it's because we all secretly want to be rockstars (ahem, see above). Or maybe we need music to sooth the crazy ideas that keep coming out of our head. Either way, it's time we start sharing these tunes with each other on a larger scale.
The more we thought about it, the more it made sense to put together a site where we can find new music from other designers and share what we listen to as well. I mean, we could have put up everything we listen to, but we're not that interesting!
So we sincerely hope you browse through here and find music you've never heard of that blows your mind. And we hope that you're so inspired by it that you share some of your music collection with everyone else. That would totally make our day.
